My first product recommendation

It's the Black and Decker 18-Volt Cordless Electric Power Scrubber!

Here is Mom demonstrating. The pivoting head easily washes the texture residue off the ceiling after we scraped it. This tool proved invaluable at washing scum off the walls, too! We highly recommend it for any pre-painting washing.
